Boiler and air conditioning questions, answered

The things people ask us most often, before they pick up the phone.

How much does a new boiler cost?
For a straight combi swap, most jobs land between £1,750 and £3,300 supplied and fitted, depending on the make and the size of your system. Converting an older regular boiler with loft tanks over to a combi is more involved and usually runs £2,800 to £4,500. The estimator above will give you a range for your actual property in about a minute.
Do you cover my area?
Boiler and air conditioning installation covers London, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex, Sussex and the Home Counties. General plumbing and emergency call-outs run across Surrey and Berkshire. Put your postcode into the estimator and it will tell you straight away.
How long does a boiler installation take?
A like-for-like combi swap is normally a single day on site. Converting from a regular or back boiler system takes two to three days, because the pipework, flue, controls and cylinder all change. A first-time installation in a property with no central heating is usually three to five days.
Is the work certified and guaranteed?
Yes. Every installation is commissioned and notified to Building Control on completion, and the full manufacturer warranty is registered in your name. Gas work is carried out under Gas Safe registration (no. add Gas Safe number) and refrigerant work under F-Gas certification (no. add F-Gas number).
How much does air conditioning cost per room?
A single wall-mounted unit in a typical bedroom or living room is usually £1,600 to £2,600 installed. Extra rooms work out cheaper each because they share one outdoor condenser — a three-room system generally lands between £4,500 and £6,500.
Can air conditioning heat the room in winter?
Yes. The systems we fit are heat pumps, so they heat as well as cool. For a single room it is often cheaper to run than firing up the central heating for the whole house.
Can you install air conditioning in a flat?
Usually, yes. It comes down to where the outdoor unit can sit and whether your lease or freeholder permits it. Ground and first floor flats are straightforward; higher floors may need access equipment, which we will price in up front.
Do you charge for a quote?

Do you work weekends?
Yes. We are open 9am to 6pm, seven days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.
What happens if I have an emergency?
